Director Hunter Overdorff is a lifelong resident of Brush Valley Township and currently in his first term of service to the residents of United School District's first region.

Upon becoming a Director in 2019, Hunter initially served as the Transportation board member. However, he transitioned to the Finance board member position in 2021 and continues to hold that status. In December 2022, he was appointed by his fellow board members to the Legislative Chairperson position, which is responsible for providing monthly updates regarding legislative efforts that may be relevant to education. Hunter also sits on negotiating committees to reach bargaining agreements between the PSEA-UEA (Educators) and PSEA-ESP (Support Staff) unions and the Board of Education.

Since Hunter joined the Board of Education in 2019, United has initiated the 1:1 Chromebook Program to provide over 1,100 students with laptops; restored the walking track on the Thomas J. Madill Field stadium; started an ESCO energy savings and facilities improvement program at the elementary school; entered a cooperative agreement with Blacklick School District for football; renegotiated a fair successor agreement to PSEA-UEA contract; hired an assistant principle; and appointed a new Superintendent of Schools.

Individually, Hunter continues to be a voice for landowners, farmers, and senior citizens to achieve property tax reform. He has never voted to increase taxes and has voted against unfair budgets. Hunter is committed to improving the quality of education and making sure our children have the tools to be successful after graduation.
